Sandra Dayberry

Sandra Jane Crocker Dayberry ascended into Heavens gates on February 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Thomas Dayberry, mother Jesse Ruth Harrelson Isaacks, step-father Robert Leigh Isaacks, father Glen Crocker, brother Joe Isaacks, grandparents Robert (Pop) and Biddie Narcissus Chapman Harrelson (Mimi), and Olive Crocker. She is survived by her son, Clinton Wesley Hille of Gonzales, Texas, daughter Bonnie Jo Lee (Randy) of McAlister, New Mexico, grandchildren Shelbi Smith (Twister), Blake Lee, Audra Northcutt (Tucker), Ross Lee and Cade Lee, great-granddaughter Rylee Smith, her sister Leigh Isaacks-Lyddick (Mike), stepchildren Tom (Tombo) Dayberry, Martha Lucas (Dan), Ruth Shannon (Shane), Nancy Eoff (James), 20 step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, three nieces, and numerous cousins. Sandra was born on July 12, 1940 in Las Cruces, New Mexico and spent most of her life in the area. As a young lady she was active in 4-H and enjoyed working cattle and rodeo. She attended New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in education in 1962. She was also a member of the Thunderbirds equestrian square dance team. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority of which her mother was a charter member of the NMSU chapter. As a mother she was very active in helping her children with their activities such as 4-H, FFA and Jr. Rodeo. She was very musically talented and played the piano, fiddle, mandolin and bass guitar. She was a part of the Lake Valley dance band for many years, helping to carry on the century old family tradition of old time country music and fellowship. Later in life she lived at the Isaacks ranch headquarters at the base of the Organ mountains where she enjoyed gardening and watching the majestic sunsets over the west mesa. She is gone from this earth but will forever be in our hearts.
