Pita was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Juan Pablo and Andrea Gutierrez of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Following graduation from Santa Rosa High School Pita worked for Civil Service working in New Mexico and finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada until retirement.
