Wayne Martinez

Wayne Martinez, 46 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2021. Wayne was born on November 2, 1974 in Fort Sumner, NM to Herman and Debra Martinez. Wayne was raised on the Cowden Ranch in Santa Rosa and he graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1993. Wayne was employed with the Coca Cola Company in Las Cruces, NM and returned to Santa Rosa in 2000 to work at Truck Stops of America in Santa Rosa until his passing. Wayne was a Raiders fan and loved to go hunting and really enjoyed arrowhead hunting; he also enjoyed a cold one with his primos. Wayne taught his nephews and nieces to drive, he loved Star Wars movies and was also a Christian. Wayne loved his family and friends and enjoyed the time he spent with them. Wayne is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jose Efren and Albina Madrid Martinez, his maternal grandma; Francis Ulibarri, aunt and Godmother; Esther Barela, aunt; Mary Lou Baca as well as other uncles and aunts. Wayne is survived by his parents Herman and Debbie Martinez of Santa Rosa, NM, his brother; Ricardo Martinez (Sandra) of Santa Rosa, NM, Nephews and Nieces; Genaro, Giovanni, Anastacia and Philomena Zitz, Great-nephew; Leonidas Sena and one on the way, best friend; Romalia Roybal, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
