Uvaldo “Wally” Baca, 57 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away in Clovis, NM on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Uvaldo was born on October 13, 1963, in Anton Chico, NM to Erlinda Baca. Uvaldo was raised in Anton Chico and attended school in Santa Rosa, graduating from Santa Rosa High School and also made his home in Santa Rosa 35 years ago. Uvaldo was a Jack of All Trades who enjoyed arts and crafts, woodworking, and landscaping. Uvaldo was also a parishioner at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico. Uvaldo is preceded in death by his mother and brothers; Eddie Baca, Esequiel Baca, and Santana Baca. Uvaldo is survived by his sisters; Melba Baca of Santa Rosa, NM, Viola Baca of Rio Rancho, NM, Antonia Madrid (Donaciano) of Tecolotito, NM and Ernestina Aranda (Adam) of Clovis, NM, his aunts; Juanita Olguin of Anton Chico, NM, Candida Baca of Anton Chico, NM, Clara Olguin (Juan) of Upper Anton Chico, NM and Tina Encinias (Braulio) of Albuquerque, NM as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral Mass was held at 11am Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Interment followed at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico, NM with Patrick Aranda, Roman Montoya, Jonathan Encinias, Miguel Encinias, Mario Baca, Santana Baca, Jr., Victor Montoya, Felica Baca and Erlinda Baca serving as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers Donaciano Madrid, Adam Anaya and Adam Sanchez. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Social Distancing guidelines, services were limited to the immediate family.
