Stevie Baca, Jr., 53, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the family home in Puerto De Luna, NM. Stevie leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Born on January 6, 1970, to the home of Stevan and Dorothy (Tenorio) Baca in Tucumcari, NM. He was raised in Anton Chico and later moved to Puerto De Luna with his family where he spent the majority of his life. Stevie had a deep faith and was a lifelong member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Stevie had an immense appreciation for Spanish music, a talent for drawing and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was adored by those who knew him for his big heart and his ability to always see the good in others.
Stevie is preceded in death by his father Stevan Baca, paternal step grandfather Horacio Olguin, maternal grandparents Eduardo and Estella Tenorio, and sister-in-law Monica Chavez. His memory will be cherished by his loving mother Dorothy Baca of the family home in Puerto De Luna; paternal grandmother Juanita Olguin of Anton Chico; sister Lydia Lucero (Eloy) of Albuquerque; brother Napoleon Baca of Puerto De Luna; sister Imogene Baca of Belen; nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart: Eloy Lucero III (Tionna), Ayeisha Lucero (Joseph), Isaiah Lucero (Samantha), and Naquita Baca - who was also his goddaughter - along with several great nieces and nephews: Noah Lucero, Athena Gurule, Isreal Lucero, Anakin Gurule, Haizel Flores, Rylee Lucero - all from Albuquerque - as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, family members and friends.
Stevie's loss will be deeply felt by all those whose lives he has touched with his kindness and generosity. His memories will remain forever embedded in our hearts. We love you, Stevie, and we will miss you immensely.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary, immediately followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, with Father Sotero Sena officiating.
Burial will follow at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM, with Eloy Lucero III, Ayeisha Lucero, Isaiah Lucero, and Naquita Baca serving as Urn-bearers.
