Stephen Johnson

Stephen Eugene Johnson, 75 a resident of Fort Sumner passed away at his home on Thursday February 27, 2025. He was born April 7, 1949 in Medford, Oregon the son of Donald and Ruby (Warwig) Johnson. He grew up in Medford where he attended high school. He later received a Bachelor Degree in History.

Stephen served in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years. He entered on June 17, 1971 and was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona until his honorable discharge. His specialty was aircraft maintenance. According to his friends, Stephen was a "jack of all trades".

Stephen has no known living relatives. He is survived by his neighbors and good friends.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. fifth Street, Fort Sumner, New Mexico. (575) 355-2311.
