Sam Timoteo Lopez

Sam Timoteo Lopez age 81, resident of Clovis, NM, passed away at his home on November 01, 2024.

Sam was born May 14, 1943, in Fort Sumner to Timoteo and Pola Lopez. He was a graduate of Fort Sumner High School. He attended automotive technical school at TVI. He made his home in Albuquerque for many years and retired as a custodian from the University of New Mexico. Sam made his home in Clovis in 1998. After retirement Sam spent time collecting antiques, and nick-nacks. 

Sam is preceded in death by his parents Timoteo and Pola Lopez and five brothers: Raymond Lopez, Henry Lopez, Jimmy Lopez, David Lopez, Selestino Lopez and one sister Debbie Anaya. 

Sam is survived by his two sons: Gilbert Lopez and wife Denise, Sam Lopez Jr and wife Veronica, 6 grandchildren Cassiano Lopez, Ariana Lopez, Dennis Chavez, Deanna Sais, Steven Gonzales, and Daniel Gonzales all of Albuquerque. Four sisters: Rosalie Garcia, Peggy Garcia, Frances (Pancha) Lopez, and Gloria Garcia all of Clovis, and four brothers Ignacio Lopez of Moriarty, Larry Lopez of Hobbs, Navor Lopez of Tampa, FL, and Anthony Anya of Albuquerque. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis, NM with Father Franklin Iwuagwu officiating. Burial will follow at St Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Fort Sumner, NM.
