Sally Saiz

Sally Saiz, 79 of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021. Sally was born on December 21, 1941 to Jose Reyes Tapia and Valeria (Romero) Tapia in Palma, NM. Sally attended school in Moriarty, NM. Sally was a counselor for the Santa Rosa Greater Council on Alcoholism, she was an Avon representative and a homemaker. Sally was also a member of the Assembly of God church in Santa Rosa. Sally enjoyed her daily walks, yardwork and attending sporting events to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed board games and puzzles, however her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family. Sally is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson; Eugene Geno Chavez, the father of her children; Abel Saiz, Jr., her brothers; Manuel Tapia, George Tapia, Ernest Tapia and Albert Tapia, sister-in-law; Dolores Tapia and brother-in-law; Jimmy Koroneos. Sally is survived by her children; Alberta Saiz, Roberta (Richard) Blea, Jeffrey (Sylvia) Saiz, Randy (Nina) Saiz and Ted (Jennifer) Saiz, her grandchildren; Renee (Mike) Kubler, Lanette Chavez, Delano (Gloria) Chavez, Rico (Kim) Blea, Reuben Chavez, Robert (Heather) Blea, Dominic (Aysia) Saiz, Derrick Saiz, Noah Saiz, Dannica Saiz, Jonah Saiz, Matthew Saiz, Lacey Encinias, Josiah Saiz and Bella Saiz, her great-grandchildren; Izaiah Romero, Felicia Chavez, Madisyn Romero, Addisyn Chavez, Jadyn Chavez, Delany Chavez, Emma Lucero, Alma Blea, Jeryn Chavez, Rico Blea, Jr., Nathan Saiz, Nico Saiz, Garrett Kubler, and baby girl Blea—due in December. Sally is also survived by her siblings; Rose Koroneos, Tommy Tapia, Susie (Leonard) Kuntz, Ann (Ted) Tafoya, Dorothy (David) Arteche, Paul (Juanita) Tapia and Elizabeth (Arthur) Montoya and sisters-in-law; Sylvia Tapia, Alice Tapia and Carol Tapia, as well as numerous family, relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 2-6pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. The funeral service will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11am at the Assembly of God church in Santa Rosa officiated by Pastor Lorenzo Delgado. Visitation will be for an hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery with Delano Chavez, Rico Blea, Reuben Chavez, Robert Blea, Dominic Saiz, Derrick Saiz, Noah Saiz, Jonah Saiz, Matthew Saiz, Josiah Saiz and Mike Kubler serving as Pallbearers.
