Roy Kenneth Bailey

Roy Kenneth Bailey, 85 of Tucumcari, NM, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Roy was born March 4, 1939 in Cuervo, NM to Paul Bailey and Mildred (Jones) Bailey. Roy was raised in Cuervo and attended school in Santa Rosa-graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1958. 

Following graduation, Roy married the former Annie Arguello in January 1960 in Santa Rosa. Roy worked for the Diamond A Cattle Company in Cuervo as well as Singleton Ranches and the TE Mitchell Ranch. Roy retired from ranch work in 1999. At that time Roy made his home in Tucumcari, NM where he was a parishioner at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son: Lloyd Bailey, his siblings: James Paul Bailey, Wilma Carpenter, Jimmie Walton Bailey, Oda Fay Baskins, Ophelia Anderson, Mary Frances Martin and Viola Harden.

Roy is survived by his wife: Annie, of the family home, and sons: Kenneth (Susan) Bailey, of Santa Rosa, Kirk Bailey and Brian Bailey, both of Tucumcari, grandsons: Eric (Janie) Bailey of Columbia, MS, Daniel (Ashley) Bailey of Santa Rosa, Kyle Bailey of Indiana, Kevin (Bre) Bailey of Tucson, AZ and Keith (Amelinda) Bailey of Cape Canaveral, FL, great-grandchildren: Gabriel Rivera, Baylee Bowen, Milana Bailey, EJ Bailey, Gianna Bailey, Atlas Bailey, Noah Bailey, Emma Bailey, Olivia Bailey, Marisella Bailey and Mason Bailey. Roy is also survived by his siblings: Calvin (Debbie) Bailey of Las Cruces, NM, Maureen (Ron) Young of Clovis, NM and Pearl Cavasos of Moriarty, NM.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM with Rev. Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park, Tucumcari, NM.
