Rose Ann Salazar

Rose Ann Salazar, 50 of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Rose Ann was born in Albuquerque, NM to Gilbert Romero and Lucinda Salazar, and was raised in Santa Rosa. Rose Ann attended school in Santa Rosa and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. Rose Ann later attended NMHU. A life-long resident of Santa Rosa, Rose Ann worked alongside her mother in various positions in Santa Rosa. She was a member of The Church of Christ and loved to listen to music. Rose Ann also enjoyed going to the movies, attending dances at the downtown gazebo, and always made the effort to attend her high school class reunions. However, Rose Ann’s greatest joy came from the time she spent with her mother, family and friends. Rose Ann is preceded in death by her father, as well as various members of the Romero and Salazar families. Rose Ann is survived by her mother, Lucinda of the family home, brother: Gilbert “Gib” Romero, sisters: Consuelo Salazar and Jenny Bustos—all of Santa Rosa, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation for Rose Ann will be Monday, August 22, 2022 from 1-6pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Funeral service for Rose Ann will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2pm at the Church of Christ in Santa Rosa, with Fritz Lucero officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, with Matthew Saiz, Sally Lucero, Michael Garcia, Andres Lopez and Vicente Lopez serving as Pallbearers.
