Roque J. Montano

Roque Jose De La Paz Montano, 78, a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. He was born August 16, 1944 in Santa Rosa to the home of Erineo and Isidora (Chavez) Montano. He attended school in Santa Rosa, and graduated from Santa Rosa High School.

Roque worked for many years as a service station attendant at several Santa Rosa service stations. He was a lifelong member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Roque is preceded in death by his parents, Erineo and Isidora Montano, two uncles, Antonio Chavez and Jose Dolores Chavez.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Bobbie Guinn of the home in Santa Rosa along with a host of cousins and other relatives.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 2PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.  Interment of cremains will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
