Robert Howard Carr

Robert Howard Carr, 78, of Tucumcari, NM passed away on January 22, 2025 at his residence. Robert was born on March 19, 1946 in Chicago, IL to the home of Howard and Lorraine (Wike) Carr. Robert graduated from Foreman High School in Chicago with the class of 1964. 

After high school Robert served in the United States Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1969. 

Robert married the love of his life, Nancy on September 1, 1968 in Jackson County, Missouri. Robert and Nancy made their home in Independence, Missouri. Robert worked as a mechanic, and a maintenance man for the United States Postal Service.  

Robert and Nancy moved to Tucumcari, NM after their retirement to enjoy life "off the grid." Robert attended St Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. 

Robert has a passion for cars. He loved to work on cars, race cars, and attend car shows. 

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Carr in 2022, by his parents, one brother William Carr, and one sister Donna Davis. 

He is survived by his son Erik Carr and wife Kimberly of Liberty, Missouri, and their six children: Wyatt, Arthur, Preston, Henry, Sammy, and Alex. Also surviving is one sister Roberta Lewis of Chicago, IL, and brother and sister-in-law Paul and Susie Spero of Plattsburgh, MO, along with other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
