Rohn Lee Lucero

Rohn Lee Lucero, 86 a longtime resident of Santa Rosa passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home.

Rohn Lee was born March 3, 1937 to the home of Jubencio and Gonzagita (Romo) Lucero. He attended Santa Rosa schools, and New Mexico State University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Later he earned his Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

Rohn Lee was a longtime rancher, business man, and an educator. Rohn Lee was an advocate for teacher’s rights. He retired from teaching in 2002. He was a longtime member of the National Education Association, and the Tuba City Unified Education Association. A lifelong Catholic, Rohn Lee was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Santa Rosa.

Rohn Lee is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Lorraine Lucero in 1996.

He is survived by a cousin, Robert Rivera of Santa Rosa. Lucero cousins Lavonne T. Gonzales of San Martin, CA, James Leo Gonzales of Denver, CO, Thomas Cruz Gonzales of Casa Grande, AZ, Esther Gallegos Scott of Visalia, CA, Maria Gallegos Barber of Corte MaderaMadeira, CA, and Jeanette Lynn Gonzales of San Martin, CA.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will take place Monday, March 13, 2023 at 6PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10AM at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, with Leroy Campos, Leroy Bonney, Ernest Chavez, Earl Sena, Michael Muniz and Robert E. Rivera serving as Pallbearers.
