Peggy Edwards

Peggy L. Edwards, 100 years old, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on November 17, 2023. She was born on October 8, 1923. She was married to Orville “Jody” Edwards. Peggy’s career spanned thirty years as a Telephone Operator and Manager with Mountain Bell prior to her retirement in 1984. 

Those preceding her in death were her husband, Orville “Jody” Edwards, and their son, Monte Ray Edwards. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her grandsons, Ben (Beth) Edwards and Jody Edwards, both of Las Cruces, NM; great granddaughter, Katie (Michael) Sanchez and great, great granddaughter, Anastasia Sanchez, of Del Rio, Texas; and her daughter-in-law, Shirley Edwards, of Surprise, Arizona. 

 A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 2, 2024 in the Edwards family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery.  

 The family wishes to share their heartfelt gratitude for Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit staff, Mesilla Valley Hospice staff, and the staff at the Village at Northrise.
