Nancy G. Sena, age 82, life-long resident of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Christus Saint Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM on March 10, 2018. Nancy was born in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Pablo Griego and Bertha (Alarid) Griego on February 8, 1936. She married Tony J. Sena on March 17, 1956 in Santa Rosa. Together, Nancy and Tony were married 54 years before Tony’s death in 2010. Nancy made her home in Santa Rosa where she enjoyed being a loving homemaker and caring for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent a great deal of time with her family, sharing meals and imparting the ethic of hard work. In addition, Nancy was an active parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tony, her grandson Kevin Charles Tapia, brothers; Charlie Griego and George Griego; and sister; Annie Romero. She is survived by her daughters; Diana Archuleta and husband Tomas of Santa Rosa, NM; Mary Ann Sena of Las Vegas, NM; Liz Tapia and husband Charles of Santa Rosa, NM and Carolyn Ortega and husband Gilbert of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by her sisters and best friends; Rose Luna of Albuquerque, NM and Erlinda Sandoval of Santa Rosa, NM. In addition, she is survived by her brothers; Pablo Griego and his wife Sophie, Jimmy Griego and his wife Gloria and Orlando Garcia and his wife Priscilla, all of Santa Rosa, NM. Eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive Nancy, as well as a host of relatives and friends. Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. from Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial following with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in the family plot. Serving as Pallbearers are Pablo Griego, Jimmy Griego, Orlando Garcia, Tomas Archuleta, Charles Tapia, Gilbert Ortega and Kyle Tapia. Honorary Pallbearers will include; Frankie Tenorio, Jonathan Tenorio, Antoinette Bustamante, Isaiah Espinoza, Ayiesha Lopez, Jared Tapia, Shawn Tapia, Derrick Ortega, Brandon Ortega and Joshua Ortega.
