Martin Vargas

Martin Vargas Ortega, 62, of Tucumcari, NM, passed away suddenly at home, on February 1, 2023.

Martin was born on November 11, 1960 in San Jose Babicora, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Vargas and Soledad Ortega.

Martin is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Alfredo, Rudolfo, Luis and Manuel Vargas, and his sisters: Hortensia, Carmen and Maria Soledad.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife: Annie Vargas, his children: Frances (Joe), Jose (Melanie), Marcos, Andrea, his grandchildren: Matthew, Destiny (Tyrus), Juan, Thalia, Jacquiline, Esperanza, Jose, Kristiana, Fabian and Jazzlyn and his Godchildren: A.J. Griego, Alyshia Griego, Stephanie Godinez and Victoria Tarango.  Martin is also survived by his siblings: Raul and Rosa.

Viewing for family and friends will take place prior to the Rosary, on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 5-6PM at Saint Anne’s in Tucumcari.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 6PM at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11AM at Saint Anne’s in Tucumcari.  Interment will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park, with Juan Martinez, Jose Rodriquez, Fabian Rodriguez, Raul Vargas, Adrian Vargas, Alejandro Vargas and Miguel serving as Pallbearers.
