Mark Alan Sawyer, 54 of House, NM passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 in an auto accident north of Taiban.
Mark was born August 31, 1969 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the home of David and LaDonna (Mithcell) Sawyer. He attended schools in Santa Fe. Mark attended Gary Leffew's Bull Riding School. He travelled the bull riding circuit for a time until he was injured and had to leave bull riding.
Mark worked in the building construction industry while living in Santa Fe, he worked installing tile. He made his home in Clovis in the mid 90's and continued to work in general building construction and as a plumbers helper. Mark enjoyed woodworking.
Mark was baptized in 1995 at the Baptist Church in Clayton, NM. According to his mother, Mark had the softest heart and would do anything to help anyone if asked. He made his home in Clovis from the mid 90's until he moved to House, NM in 2021.
He is preceded in death by his father David Leroy Sawyer in 1989, his step-father Ross Sinclair in 2012, two step-sisters Fayola Berry and JoAnn Luark, maternal grandparents Glenn and Mildred Mitchell and paternal grandparents Guy and Anna Jane Sawyer.
Survivors include his mother LaDonna Sinclair of House, NM, three daughters Cortney Mackey (Joseph) of Midland, TX, Kayla Sawyer of Clovis, and Klara Odom (Mason) of Clovis, three grandchildren Aubrey Mackey, Brooke Mackey, and Sebastain Sawyer Renova. Also surviving is a brother Rodney Sawyer of House, NM along with many family members from the Mitchell, Sawyer, Sinclair, Berry, and Luark families.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2023 at House Community Cemetery with Kenneth Whitecotton officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Sawyer, Monte Mitchell, Billy Bob Parker, and Donald Terry.
