Maria Erlinda Urioste-Villanueva

Maria Erlinda Urioste Villanueva, 83, a life-long resident of Tecolotito, NM passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  Maria was born to the home of Quirino Urioste and Eloisa (Lucero) Urioste on May 31, 1936 in Tecolotito where she was reared. Maria was a landscaper who worked with flagstone.  She also enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Prudencio Villanueva, sisters; Rita Romero, Marcelina Velasquez, Lenora Urioste, daughter; Irene Matta and sons; Quirino Villanueva, Benerito Cruz Urioste and Larry Matta, Jr. She is survived by her sons; Domingo (Irene) Villanueva, Roger (Trish) Villanueva, and Richard Villanueva, daughters; Christina Viillanueva, Angelica (Jose Luis) Villanueva and Dorothy (Raynaldo) Villanueva, the grandchildren whom she reared; Patrick (Angelica) Villanueva and Rebecca (Juan) Urioste, sister; Antonia Madrid, son-in-law; Jesse Matta, daughters-in-law; Ruby Urioste and Laura Villanueva.  She is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday, August 23, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph’s with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating.  Interment will follow at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico. Pallbearers are Patrick Villanueva, Tony Manzo, Peter Urioste, Prudencio Villanueva, Hilario Villanueva, Tim Campos, Julio Romero, and Santiago Romero III.  Honorary Pallbearers are P.J.
