Maria Felicita Romero

Maria Felicita Romero, age 79, passed away on June 29, 2020 in Santa Rosa, NM following an illness. She was born on August 10, 1940 in Pintada, New Mexico to the home of Herman and Vitalia Romero and attended school in Santa Rosa. Maria worked as a waitress/server at several restaurants and was also a cook for the Senior Center here in Santa Rosa. She loved to crochet and do crafts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Maria is preceded in death by her parents; Herman and Vitalia, a son; Herman Romero , two sisters; Maria Tarin and Emma Romero and two brothers; Nerio Romero and Willie Romero. Maria is survived by her children; Gilbert Romero (Patty), Priscilla Garcia, Gerald Romero and Eric Romero (Maria). Her niece; Mary Ann Romero, who was like a daughter. Her grandchildren; Carla Chavez (Dominic), Jennifer Muniz (Ricardo), Erica Romero (Sam Serrano), Gilbert W. Romero, II, Christopher Romero, Daniela Romero and her great-grandchildren; Izaiah, Madisyn, Paityn, Preston, Aria, Jordyn, Carter, Izabella and Evaya. She is also survived by her sisters; Erinea Cordova of Clovis, NM, Rita White (Jim) of Rio Communities, NM and Sylvia Romero of Albuquerque, NM, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Social Distancing guidelines, services will be private and limited to the immediate family. We ask that you keep Maria Felicita and her family in your prayers. A graveside service was held at 10:00am Saturday, July 4, 2020 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM with Deacon Marvin Marquez officiating.
