Margaret Flores

Margaret Maria Flores, 69 of Santa Fe, NM passed away surrounded by her children, brother, and sisters on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Margaret was born on August 11,1955 in Santa Rosa, NM in the home of Francisco Ocaña and Eufemia (Romero) Ocaña. Margaret grew up in Puerto De Luna, NM, where she attended Santa Rosa and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. 

Margaret moved away to Texas where her and her family lived for many years. Later on she moved back to her home state of New Mexico with her older sister Levina, where she helped to run the Native American jewelry store for years. She spent most of her time alongside sister, Levina. Not only working together in the jewelry store, but as well as attending church together. Margaret's relationship with Levina was truly a blessing in her life. In her free time she enjoyed crosswords, dining out and going to the casinos. 

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Eufemia Ocaña, her son Ernest Flores, two brothers Tony and Marcelino Ocaña, and sister Levinia Ocaña. 

Margaret will be dearly missed by her daughter MaryAnn Villalobos of Phoenix, AZ and son Raymond Flores of Amarillo, Texas along with her grandchildren Samuel Villalobos, Estela Villalobos, and Lionel Villalobos of Phoenix, AZ, Ernie Tabora of Phoenix, AZ, and her great grandson Denver Tabora of Phoenix, Az, and her brother Frank Ocaña of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and her sisters; Bertha Ocaña and Cecilia Ocaña of Santa Rosa, New Mexico, Consuelo Ocaña of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Julia Ocaña of Amarillo, Texas along with many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, beginning at 9AM at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, beginning at 10AM at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM.

Interment will follow at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna.
