Kelly Jean Biggers

Kelly Jean Biggers, 33 of Tucumcari, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 28, 2024.

Kelly was born on April 8, 1991 in Mesa, AZ to James R. Biggers and Billie Jean (Powell) Biggers.  Kelly was raised in Paducah, KY and made her home in Tucumcari in 2000.   Kelly attended school in Tucumcari.   Kelly was a caregiver and also attended First Baptist Church and St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Kelly was a loving, caring and supportive mother to her children.  In her spare time, she enjoyed photography, going to concerts and camping, as she loved going to the mountains.  Kelly was very adventurous and spontaneous.  She enjoyed a good cruise down back roads, as she had just begun teaching older children to drive.  However, Kelly’s greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family and particularly attending her children’s sporting events.

Kelly is preceded in death by her father, her sister: Brittanie Kelley, grandfather: Earl Simpson, her maternal grandparents: Joseph Powell and Dorothy (Cook) Powell and her paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Biggers.

Kelly is survived by her children: Robert Gomez, Lana Gomez, Tanner Qualls-Rivera and Trevor Qualls-Rivera, all of the family home,   her mother: Billie Biggers, her sister: Jessica (Jason) Goen, and nephews: Johnathan Romero, Nick Romero Goen, Justin Goen and Jaxtyn Goen, her brother: James Biggers (Stephanie Johnson) and nephew: Haiden Biggers and niece: Baylei Biggers—all of Tucumcari and brother: Thomas (Ana) Biggers of Ft. Sumner, NM and her partner: Ramon Garcia and his children: Elijah Garcia and Brianna Garcia, as well as many aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Funeral service for Kelly will be Monday, May 6, 2024 at 10AM at the First Baptist Church in Tucumcari, with Reverend Rusty Kenyon officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:45AM until time of service at the church.

Interment will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park with Robert Gomez, Jason Goen, John Romero, Nick Romero, Justin Goen, Ramon Garcia, Ramon Gomez and Thomas Biggers serving as Pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Tanner, Trevor, Lana and James Biggers, II.
