Juana G. Lucero

Juana G. Lucero, 87 currently of Las Vegas, NM and formerly of Pintada, NM, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, with her family by her side.

Juana was born on February 10, 1938 in Pintada to Isidro Lucero and Elena (Saiz) Lucero. Juana was raised in Pintada, where she also attended school, ultimately attending New Mexico Highlands University. In her career, she was a healthcare attendant at Vida Encantada in Las Vegas. A life-long catholic, she was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas and at Holy Family in Pintada.

In her spare time, Juana enjoyed sewing and gardening, however her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family.

Juana is preceded in death by her parents Isidro and Elena Lucero, a son Joseph Walter Lucero, her siblings: Eloy Lucero, Jose “Smiley” Lucero and Diane Romo, brother in law Baltazar "Buzzy" Romo, a niece Josefita Romo.

Juana is survived by children: Anthony “Tony” Garcia and Joseph (Wanda) Harris of Las Vegas, grandchildren: Lynette (Matthew) Castillo of Enterprise, Alabama, Joline Lucero, Cassandra Lucero, and Abel (Laura) Harris both of Las Vegas and Andrea (Randale) Harvey of Anchorage, Alaska, nephews and nieces: Fred (Nancy) Lucero, Catarino Romo, Casemiro Romo, Angelo Romo, Esmeralda Romo, Elena Lucero, Eloy Lucero and Fabian Lucero as well as numerous family and friends.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025 beginning at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pintada, NM, with Father Jacob Romero officiating.

Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Pintada with Abel Harris, Catarino Romo, Casemiro Romo, Angelo Romo, Chris Lujan, Samuel Lujan serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joseph Harris, Abel Harris, Bo Cribbs, Guy Don Cribbs and Carlos Cordova.
