Juan L. Ulibarri

Juan L. Ulibarri, 90 of Colonias, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Guadalupe County Hospital. Juan was born on January 28, 1930 to the home of Margarito Ulibarri and Cecilia (Valencia) Ulibarri in Aguaje Blanco Ranch, NM, south of Colonias, NM. Juan was raised on the Aguaje Blanco Ranch and attended school in Colonias. After his education he engaged in the stock business as a lifelong cattle rancher. Juan knew his business well, and though the work was hard, he enjoyed all aspects of ranching life. He also ensured that his children were active and involved in the family ranch. Juan was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Juan is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Placido Ulibarri and sisters; Angie Jones and Vickie Romero. Juan is survived by his son; Juan Ulibarri, Jr. (Debbie) of Aguaje Blanco Ranch, NM, daughter; Jennifer Ulibarri (Fernando) of Aguaje Blanco Ranch, NM, granddaughters; Erika Ulibarri (Evan Gutierrez) of Rio Rancho, NM, Ashley Madero of Albuquerque, NM, Kaitlyn Ulibarri of Albuquerque, NM, Hailey Ulibarri of Aguaje Blanco Ranch, NM and great-granddaughter; Elyse Gutierrez of Rio Rancho, NM. He is also survived by the mother of his children; Bobbie Guinn of Santa Rosa, NM, sister; Zenovia Martinez of Albuquerque, NM and brother; Willie Ulibarri of Las Vegas, NM as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. Mr. Ulibarri was laid to rest at a graveside service on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at San Jose Cemetery in Colonias, NM. All services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
