Jeffrey Scott Rutzen

June 12, 1954 - February 3, 2024

Jeff S. Rutzen, 69, died peacefully at home in Tucumcari, NM, in the early evening hours of Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. Jeff leaves behind his beloved wife, friend, and fellow adventurer of 29 years, Geri, daughters Lydia (Jared) Strand and April Rutzen, granddaughters Theadosia (Barry) Carter and Sophie Weaver, great-grandchildren Frederic and Lana; brother, Steve (Janelle) Rutzen, nieces Kayla and Carrie, uncle George Pitman, and numerous cousins throughout Minnesota.

Jeff was full of joy, laughter, and lightheartedness.

He was the epitome of doing a good deed with no expectation of reward but solely because someone needed help. We ask that you carry this on in his memory.

There will be no services.

Our family is deeply grateful for all the love, support, condolences, and prayers as we come to terms with this very unexpected loss.
