James "Beak" Quintana

Jimmy “Beak” Quintana, 66 of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Jimmy was born on August 29, 1955 in Santa Rosa, NM to Patricio Quintana and Rose (Padilla) Quintana. Beak loved the Santa Rosa Lions and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed having all his friends over for cookouts, enjoying frosties, and loved making everyone laugh—Beak will be dearly missed by all. Beak is preceded in death by his parents: Patricio and Rose Quintana, and his brothers: Patrick and Wayne Quintana and brother-in-law: Rudy Salazar. Beak is survived by his son: Kris Romero and his wife: Jenifer, and their two daughters, his brothers: Tommy Quintana (Linda) and Manuel Quintana (Antoinette), his sisters: Barbara Baca (Alfred) and Stella Quintana Salazar and sister-in-law: Theresa Quintana. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, NM. Urn Bearers will include: Paul Martinez, Orlando Garcia, Martin Martinez, Jimmy Baca, Buddy Martinez, Juan Perea, Patrick Marez, Adolph Romero, Benny Sanchez, David Chavez, Teddy Saiz, Mero Maestas, Manuel Velasquez, Gerald Anaya, Vince Saiz, Sonny Chavez, Davy Delgado, Arthur “Peachy” Chavez, Dennis Gallegos, Michael “Gribbs” Sanchez, Mark Arnold, Angelica Flores, Terron Pullman, Eddie Moon and John Padilla.
