Isidora Jane Sena

Isidora Jane Sena, 84 of Borica, NM passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Portales, NM.

Isidora was born to Trenidad and Leonorcita (Casuas) Sena on May 15, 1939, in Borica, NM. Isidora was raised in Borica and attended school in Santa Rosa, graduating from Santa Rosa High School. Following graduation she attended Luna Vocational Technical Institute in Las Vegas, NM receiving a Certificate. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Borica.

Isidora retired in 1995 from the Warren Inn in Santa Fe, NM where she was the assistant manager. In her spare time, Isidora loved painting in watercolors, sewing, arts and crafts, and kept a garden every year.

Isidora is preceded in death by her parents Trenidad and Leonorcita, brothers Tommy E. and Teodoro Sena, sisters Veronica Sena and Sally Chavez, and brothers in law Joe Chavez, Candido Tafoya and Fred Wallace.

Isidora is survived by her sisters: Isabell Tafoya of Portales, NM, Maria Wilkinson of Dallas, TX, Viola Salazar (Edward) of Albuquerque, NM, and Linda Lopez (Lupe) of Clovis, NM, brothers: Ralph Sena of Borica, NM, and Faustin Sena (Shirley) of Moriarty, NM. Also surviving are numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023, beginning at 9AM at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Borica, NM.  Interment of cremains will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
