Minnie Gallegos

Minnie I. Gallegos, 78 of Puerto De Luna, NM passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2020. Minnie was born on March 26, 1942 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Luis Gallegos and Margarita (Moya) Gallegos. Minnie was a long-time resident of Puerto De Luna where she made her home. Minnie dedicated her life to her children, her Church and her faith. She played the role of mother and father, and despite these struggles, she provided a loving and warm home for her eight children. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Luis Gallegos and Gregorio Gallegos. Minnie is survived by her children; Veronica Fischer (Frank) of Austin, TX, Manuel Soliz (Moraima) of El Paso, TX, Gina Simeone (Brian) of Boston, MA, Mary Amin (Nader) of Albuquerque, NM, Marcia McIntosh (Elisha Long) of Tucson, AZ, Amanda Herbert (Casey) of Canyon Lake, TX, Paula Dean (Ray) of Santa Rosa, NM and Gaila Selgado of Puerto De Luna, NM. Minnie is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends. A Rosary was held on Friday, June 26, 2019, at 7 pm, and the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 10 am, at Nuestra Senora Del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM with Father Christopher Bernabe as celebrant. Burial followed El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto De Luna with the following serving as Pallbearers are; Ben Via, Brian Via, Isaak Gonzales, Martin Rascon, Sage Herbert, Dmitri Romo, Xavier Romo, and Alanzo Morales.
