Frank Saiz

Frank Saiz, 95 of Santa Rosa, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June, 21, 2022. Frank was born on May 28, 1927 in Sombrio, NM to Abel Saiz and Eufelia (Baca) Saiz. Frank was raised in Sombrio and attended school in Santa Rosa. Frank was married to the former Fabiola Madrid on October 15, 1951 at San Jose Catholic Church in Colonias, NM. Frank was a barber, worked in maintenance for Santa Rosa Consolidated Schools, and following retirement, Frank was a Foster Grandparent for SRCS and was affectionately known as “Champ”. Frank served his country as a veteran of World War II, where he received an Honorable Discharge. Frank was an active parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa and at San Jose Catholic Church in Colonias. In his spare time, Frank liked to hunt, however his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his son: Gerard Saiz, his siblings: Donato Saiz, Leo Saiz, Abel Saiz, Jr., Adelaido Saiz, Lola Saiz, Agnes Seidel, Ester Alarid and Mary Ortega. Frank is survived by his wife: Fabiola Saiz, his sons: DeWayne Saiz (Dina Gray) and children: DeWayne Saiz, Cruz Saiz and Jacob Saiz, Patrick Saiz (Julie Saiz) and children: Devon Kelly-Saiz, Grace Saiz and Gabriel Saiz and Milton Saiz and children: Elijah Saiz, Ethan Saiz, Ezra Saiz and Evan Saiz, his sister: Ramona Esquibel and many nephews, nieces, in-laws and extended family. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 27, 2022 from 1-4pm at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM and on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9-10am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM, with Father Sotero Sena officiating the service. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Colonias, NM, with DeWayne Saiz, Cruz Saiz, Jacob Saiz, Devon Kelly-Saiz, Grace Saiz, Gabriel Saiz, Elijah Saiz, Ethan Saiz, Ezra Saiz and Evan Saiz serving as Pallbearers.
