Graveside services for Floyd Earl Borden, 88 of Clovis, NM will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 4, 2025 in the family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery with Dr. Joseph Bunce officiating.

Earl passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at NW Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas following an illness. Earl was born in Fort Sumner, NM on September 30, 1936 to the home of Floyd Cordell and Bessie Lucille (Holland) Borden. He grew up in Fort Sumner and attended Fort Sumner Schools. Earl served in the U. S. Navy from January 16, 1957 until his honorable discharge on January 19, 1959.

Earl alwo owned an automotive garage and gas station in Lan Luis Obispo, California for 20 years. He also  worked as a Real Estate Broker in California for eight years. Earl made his home in Clovis where he was a past member of the Elks Club. He attended Forrest Heights Baptist Church in Clovis. Earl loved to travel in the U.S. and out of the country. As a young man living in Fort Sumner he enjoyed hunting and fishing. While living in California, he enjoyed ocean fishing.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Jean Head and Norma Lucille Crim, and a brother Roy Borden.

Survivors include his longtime companion Ann "Jan" Ewers of the home in Clovis, New Mexico, a son Eric Borden (Marcia) of Pismo Beach, California, a daughter Karla Rodriguez (John) of  Round Rock, Texas, 7 grandchildren, a sister in law Eloise Borden of Clovis along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
