Flora Baca

Maria Florinda “Flora” Baca, age 81, was called home on January 4, 2019. She was a life-long resident of Tecolotito, NM and member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM.She was born in Tecolotito, NM on September 5, 1937 to the late Pedro Marquez and Auriela Lucero.She was a homemaker, rancher, quilter and gardener. She took pride in her family and loved spending her time with them. You could find her in the kitchen making fresh tortillas every day or in the living room making quilts for all her loved ones.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Delfino Baca, her daughters Delfie Montano and husband Ralph Montano of Edgewood, NM, Marie Baca-Maestas and husband Marvin Maestas of Tome, NM. She is also survived by her niece Adela Navarette of Albuquerque, NM; her 5 grandchildren-pride and joy- Amanda and husband Manuel, Lucas, Carolina, Marissa, and Alejandro. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary is scheduled for Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Anton Chico, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, with Father Antonio Mondragon Officiating. Serving as Urn Bearers are; Amanda and husband Manuel, Lucas, Carolina, Marissa and Alejandro.The family would like to thank Debra Tapia, Ember Davis, and all personnel from Ambercare for their care and support.
