Ezequiel Garcia, Jr. 92 of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Ezequiel was born on May 30, 1930 in Puerto De Luna, NM to Ezequiel Garcia, Sr. and Victoria (Angel) Garcia. Ezequiel attended school in Puerto De Luna and later served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On December 31, 1956, Ezequiel married the former Oma Gerhardt at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna. Ezequiel made his home in Albuquerque, NM, working for Art Janpol Volkswagen and as proprietor of R & Z Auto, retiring in June 1992. In his spare time, Ezequiel enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on Volkswagens and bowling, however, his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. Ezequiel is preceded in death by his parents, his sons: Leonard Garcia and Steven Garcia, brothers: Nestor Garcia, Luis Garcia, Isidro Garcia, Mike Garcia and Vidal Garcia and sisters: Josefina Nieto and Isabel Anaya. Ezequiel is survived by his wife: Oma, of the family home, sons: Gene Garcia of Puerto De Luna and Danny (Mary) Garcia of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter: Victoria (Mike) Dare of Denver, Colorado, brother: Arcenio (Mary) Garcia of Albuquerque and sister: Tercia Garcia of Santa Rosa. Also surviving Ezequiel are: 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna. Burial of cremains will follow at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto De Luna, with Gene Garcia, Danny Garcia, Josh Dare, Gabriel Garcia, Estevan Baca, Arsenio Garcia and Mike Dare serving as Urn Bearers. Honorary Urn Bearers will be: Dominic Garcia, Isaiah Garcia, Angus Ruben and Mark Montaño. Services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
