Eulalia Melaisia Armijo

Eulalia Melaisia Armijo, 80, of Tucumcari, NM passed away Friday, November 25, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Eulalia was born on February 12, 1942, in Mosquero, NM to the home of Joe Baudillio Valverde and Maria (Pacheco) Valverde. A lifelong Catholic, Eulalia was a parishioner of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari, she was also a member of the VFW and American Legion. Eulalia participated in the Senior Olympics, enjoyed softball, pool, corn hole, horseshoes, and loved BINGO. Eulalia is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Maria Valverde, siblings Juanita Ciprana Valverde, Carlos Valverde, Dolores V. Valverde, Mary Kay Valverde, Charles I. Valverde, Ciprano C. Valverde, Sara M. Valverde, Joe E. Valverde, and Juan F. Valverde. Survivors include a brother Andrew Valverde of Tucumcari, NM; children Betty M. Estupiñan of Pueblo, CO, Marina Higuera and Mario B. Armijo both of Tucumcari, NM; grandchildren Virgilio Luis Estupiñan, Carlos Herman Estupiñan, LaMar E. French, Michael Lee Armijo, Justin L. French and Julianna Armijo; great-grandchildren Joaquin, Juan C, Brandon, Karli , and Brooklyn Estupiñan, Aubrianna French, Julian Montaño, Darian, LaVaughn, Natalya Estupiñan and Michael Jr Armijo, Kandace and Justin French. Other survivors include a host of nephews, nieces and other family and friends. Urn bearers will be Virgilio Estupiñan, Carlos Estupiñan, LaMar French, Michael Armijo and Justin French. Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Interment of cremains will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
