The beautiful soul of our dear mother, Erlinda Oralda Sisneros, departed this earth on July 17, 2018 at the age of 91 in Santa Rosa, CA. Born in the small village of Anton Chico, New Mexico, she was the eldest of 12 children and moved to California after marrying in the 1940's. She was a resident of Ukiah for approximately 68 years. Mom devoted her life to her family, her friends and her Catholic faith. She helped raise two grandchildren, Tasha and Anthony. She will be remembered for her love and care of us all, her hard work ethic and her delicious cooking. Standing at 4' 11", she was a dynamo, always sunny side-up and constantly humming. She loved to entertain, play piano, sing, travel, visit family and a good game of Yahtzee or Bingo. She worked hard next to Dad in many joint business endeavors including rentals and the Fair Mart grocery store. She served her community working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a Senior Companion and a founding member of the Concilio Latino Americano Club in Ukiah. Although her memory was compromised and her vivaciousness declined, she always recognized and basked in the sunshine of her family. She will be dearly missed. Erlinda is survived by five sisters: Escolastica Ulibarri of Colorado and Nina Henry, Cecilia Vredenburg, Terri May and Patsy Archibeque, all of New Mexico. Also, her five children- sons: Joe (Sandra) Sisneros, Pat (Marsha) Sisneros, Richard Sisneros, all of Ukiah and two daughters: Catherine Stearns of Santa Rosa and Frances (Jim) Owen of Redwood Valley. She was also blessed with beloved grandchildren (9), great-grandchildren (13), sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Julia Gutierrez, her husband of 58 years, Jose, twin sons, four brothers and two sisters. Our family would like to thank the staff of Friends House in Santa Rosa, CA for all their kindnesses, compassion and excellent care of Mom over the past three years.
