Eric Martin Garcia

Eric Martin Garcia, 43 of Hobbs, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Eric was born on August 11, 1978 to Luperto Garcia and Martha (Baca) Garcia. Eric was raised in Vaughn, NM, where he also attended school, graduating from Vaughn High School. Eric later moved to Hobbs where he was a Funeral Director’s Assistant. In his spare time, Eric loved volleyball, basketball and he enjoyed dancing. Eric also enjoyed listening to Spanish music. Eric is preceded in death by his parents: Luperto in 2010 and Martha in 2000. Eric is survived by his siblings: Jessie (Venus) Garcia of Vaughn, JoAnn (Tony) Paiz of Albuquerque, NM and Rick Garcia of Los Lunas, NM as well as many family, relatives and friends. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary followed by the Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM with Father Timothy Meurer officiating. Eric will be laid to rest with his parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn following the services with: Bobbi Garcia, Tristan Garcia, Diego Garcia, Adam Chavez, Monique Archibeque, Vanessa Eastham, Florinda Gauna and Pamela Roybal serving as pallbearers.
