Eloy Sandoval

Eloy Sandoval, 89 of Dilia, NM, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at his niece, Ernestine Encinias’ residence.

Eloy was born on April 15, 1935 in Dilia, NM to Miguel and Teodorita (Chavez) Sandoval. He was reared and attended school in Dilia and Santa Rosa—graduating from Santa Rosa High School. 

A life-long Catholic, Eloy was a parishioner and caretaker of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and La Morada in Dilia. Eloy’s career was a farm worker and honorably served his country in the United States Army. 

Eloy is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Amelia Sandoval, Josephine Romero, Corrine Lucero, Estella Perea, Dilia Cordova, Estevan Sandoval and Orlando Sandoval. 

Eloy is survived by his niece and caretaker: Ernestine Encinias (David) of Santa Rosa, NM and her immediate family. 

Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, July 17, 2024 beginning at 9AM and followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM, at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. The service will be officiated by Father Moses Nwankwo.

Interment of cremains, with full military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
