Doris Sanchez

Doris M. Sanchez, of Vaughn, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the age of 57. Doris was born January 18,1964, in Albuquerque, NM, to Marcos and Margie Sanchez and is the youngest of 4 siblings: Ronnie Sanchez, Lorraine Valenzuela, Teresa Armenta and Shirley Gabaldon. Doris grew up in Adobe Acres in the south valley of Albuquerque and attended Rio Grande high school where she met her husband and love of her life, Eric Sanchez. Eric and Doris were married on July 6, 1983, and renewed their vows July 7, 1986. Eric and Doris have two beautiful daughters, Erica N. Sanchez and Crystal M. Sanchez-Jaramillo and four beautiful grandchildren, Julian E. Sanchez, Kendall R. Jaramillo, Janell N. Jaramillo and Alexis M. Martinez, whom she loved dearly and considered her prides and joy. Eric and Doris relocated to Vaughn, NM in 2004 where they lived a peaceful and modest life. Currently, Doris was a cashier at Lalos convenience store where everyone who met her immediately fell in love with her beautiful smile, bubbly personality and contiguous laugh. Doris loved to be cozy in her home, watching her favorite TV shows and spending time with her husband, family and dog Bailey. Doris has transitioned into Heaven to join her father Marcos, mother Margie, and father-in-law Johnny E. Sanchez of Pinos Wells, NM. Doris is survived by her husband of 39 years Eric Sanchez, daughters Erica Sanchez and Crystal Sanchez-Jaramillo, as well as bonus daughters Crystal Martinez and Amanda Trujillo, son in law Michael Jaramillo, grandson Julian Sanchez, granddaughters Kendall and Janell Jaramillo and Alexis Martinez, mother-in-law Antonia Martinez-Sanchez, sister-in-law Dionne Sanchez and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, co-workers and beloved miniature Doberman Nunu. Grandson Julian Sanchez will serve as Urn Bearer with Kendall and Janell Jaramillo and Alexis Martinez serving as honorary Urn Bearers. Services will take place on Wednesday January 5, 2022, at 11am at Vaughn City Hall, 322 8th St, Vaughn, NM 88353, with Pastor Roy Denton officiating.
