Dilia Ulibarri, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Monday, April 2, 2018. Dilia was born in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Luis Ortega and Maria (Velasquez) Ortega on June 20, 1948. Besides her home with her parents, she was also raised by Juan and Mela Perea. She attended schools in Santa Rosa, graduating from Santa Rosa High School. She later married Jimmy Joe Ulibarri on January 30, 1971 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Dilia made her home in Santa Rosa where she worked in the health care profession as a CNA at Guadalupe County Hospital for many years. In addition to this, she was employed at Holiday Inn. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She took great joy in spending time with her daughters, but particularly enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. Dilia was a woman of great faith and a life-long parishioner at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. In her devotion to the Church, she was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters, where she continued her service to the Church. In addition to this, Dilia found time to work on home projects and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. Dilia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 30 years, Jimmy Joe in 2001 and siblings; Richard Pacheco, Lina Perea, Rosa Perea, Ida Perea and Gilbert Perea. She is survived by her daughters; Jessica Ulibarri of Santa Rosa, NM, Jennifer (Ted) Saiz of Santa Rosa, NM and Joyce Ulibarri of Santa Rosa, NM, sister; Josie Roybal of Santa Fe, NM and her special caretaker, Rosario Soliz Quezada. Dilia is also survived by her grandchildren; Dominic Saiz, Derrick Saiz, Dannica Saiz, Noah Saiz, Jonah Saiz, Josiah Saiz and Emily. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. from Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial following on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers are; Dominic Saiz, Derrick Saiz, Noah Saiz, Jonah Saiz, Josiah Saiz, Ted Saiz, Chris Griego and Nelson Kotiar.
