Daniel E. Abeyta

Daniel E. Abeyta, 61 of Vaughn, NM, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Daniel was born on June 14, 1960 in Vaughn, NM to Eddie Abeyta and Susana Crespin. Daniel was raised in Pinos Wells and Vaughn, NM. He attended school in Encino, NM—graduating from Encino High School in 1978. Daniel served his country honorably and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also a parishioner at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pinos Wells. A long-time resident of Vaughn, Daniel loved to camp and enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley. Daniel is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents: Jesus and Dulcinea Abeyta, maternal grandparents: David and Emilia Crespin, uncle: Leandro Abeyta and niece: Renee Castillo. Daniel is survived by his mother: Susana Crespin Smith of Rio Rancho, NM, his daughters: Heather (Kevin) Sanchez of Vaughn, NM, Danielle (Ed) Herrera-Panebouef of Las Cruces, NM, Analisa Abeyta (Eleazar) of Clovis, NM and Skyler (Kendra) Abeyta of Albuquerque, NM, his son: Michael (fiancée: Rebecca) Quintero, his sisters: Lisa Abeyta-Romo (Jr.) of Capitan, NM and Karla (Aaron) Dow of Bosque, NM, his brother: Paul Abeyta of Carnuel, NM and Daniel’s companion: Veronica Lucero of Pecos, NM, as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Daniel is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, family, relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Pinos Wells, NM at the Pinos Wells Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
