Daniel J. Fisher, 70 of Fort Sumner, NM passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Rust-Presbyterian Medical Center in Rio Rancho following an illness. Dan was born December 29, 1948 in Mena, Arkansas to the home of Jay and Belma Fisher. He was married on October 21, 1978 to Kathleen Alice Jensen. They made their home in Fort Sumner in 1984. Dan worked for many years as the Park Manager at Lake Sumner State Park and later as a contract employee in Fort Sumner. Dan enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time in Albuquerque with his grandchildren. If not with his family in Albuquerque you would find him at the nearest casino. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fort Sumner and a 2 time State Bowling Champion, back to back. Dan is survived by two sons Shawn Fisher and Bobby (Tiff) Fisher, five grandchildren Trinity, Liam, Lennon, Joshua, and Brooklyn Fisher all of Albuquerque. Sisters include Judy of DeQueen, Arkansas, Emily of Cabot, Arkansas, Melba of Russelville, Arkansas and Floy of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Brothers include Butch of Pine Grove, California, Ron of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Frank of Anderson, California. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
