Carla R. Madrid

Carla R. Madrid, 59 of Vaughn, NM, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. Carla was born on March 11, 1962 in Roswell, NM to Amelia J. Madrid. Carla was raised in Vaughn, where she also attended school. Carla was a clerk at Allsup’s in Vaughn for 22 years. She was a parishioner at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and she was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. Carla enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, watching TV and cooking. However, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family. Carla is preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents: Eulalio and Jacoba Madrid, her grandsons: Nathaniel and Roy Lee, Jr., her son-in-law: Andres Aguilar and her niece: Antoinette Anaya. Carla is survived by her husband: Leroy Pacheco of the family home, her daughters: Renessa Madrid and Tonya Madrid: both of Vaughn and Tamara Madrid-Aguilar of Big Spring, TX, her grandson whom she helped raise: Nicholas Madrid of Vaughn, her grandchildren: Shania Morgan and Anthony Morgan of Roswell and Andrah Aguilar of Big Spring; and her brothers: Darryl Madrid (Theresa) of Albuquerque, NM, Dominic Madrid (Beatrice) of Albuquerque, NM and Darcy Madrid of Las Vegas, NM. Carla is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; as well as her pet cat “Rocky”. Following cremation, a private committal will take place with Leroy Pacheco and Nicholas Madrid serving as Urn Bearers. Services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
