Bryan Christopher Sloan, 39 a resident of Tucumcari, New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 1, 2025. He was born October 31, 1985 in Tucson, Arizona the son of Derl Blayne Sloan Jr., and Ronda Jeanette McCormick. Bryan grew up in Tucumcari, NM from the age of 9, he attended Tucumcari schools. Bryan worked in building construction as a plumber. He also worked in area restaurants.
Bryan enjoyed painting, woodworking, and drawing as a pastime.
Bryan is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ronald David McCormick and Evelyn Lucille Davis, his paternal grandparents Dorothy and Lamar Roberts.
Survivors include his mother Ronda McCormick of Tucumcari, father Derl Blake Sloan of Missouri, 9 children, four daughters Destanie Sloan (Cruz Bautista) of Ruidoso, Fate Sloan (Jonathan Mendoza) of Ruidoso, Hope Sloan of Ruidoso, Serenity Sloan of Missouri, five sons Tyler Perkins of Tennessee, Braiden Sloan of Tennessee, Brixton Sloan of Capitan, NM, Robert Beaulieau of Ruidoso, and Christopher Sloan of Tucumcari. Also surviving is his grandpa Jim Davis of Las Cruces, NM, two brothers Joey White and Shane Miller both of Tucumcari and one sister Brittni Sloan of Arizona and two grandchildren Jones J. Sloan-Mendoza and Michaelangelo Cruz Timothy Bautista along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A family visitation was held at 2pm Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner. It was Bryan's wish that cremation take place, no services are scheduled at this time.
