Brenda Crocker

Brenda Maria Crocker, 59 of Fort Sumner passed away Tuesday, March 08, 2022 at her home following an illness. She was born July 5, 1962 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Nicola and Nellie (Goodman) Alfieri. Brenda was raised in Clovis where she attended schools, graduating from Clovis High School. She attended Clovis Community College. Beginning at age 15, Brenda had a passion for horseracing and became a jockey for several years. She moved with her daughters to Fort Sumner in 2001, she was a full-time caregiver for her daughter Amanda. According to her family, Brenda was always available to help others, she was a hard worker and loved her family. Brenda was a member of the Fort Sumner Church of Christ. Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Ruth Alfieri in 2011, and a brother Nicola Alfieri in 1980. Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Crocker of Fort Sumner and Haley (Kolton) McCasland and granddaughter Guinevere McCasland of Melrose, NM, a sister Karen Rieth of Elkhart, Indiana along with several aunts and many cousins. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Fort Sumner Church of Christ with Mr. Steve Roberts and Mr. Gary Jones officiating.
