Braulio Rodriguez, Jr

Braulio Rodriguez, Jr., 67, resident of Vaughn, NM passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Braulio was born on May 1, 1957 in Vaughn, NM to Braulio Rodriguez Sr. and Lucy Sisneros. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy, Coast Guard and New Mexico National Guard.

Braulio was raised in Vaughn, where he also attended school. Following his service in the US Navy, Coast Guard and NM National Guard, Braulio returned to Vaughn, where he worked for the Town of Vaughn and was also propane distributor.

In his spare time, Braulio enjoyed working on old cars and restoring them, he helped distribute commodities and he regularly attended town council meetings. Braulio loved his family and checking on them and also enjoyed helping children.

Braulio is preceded in death by mother: Lucy Sisneros and siblings: Robert and Cuca.

He is survived by his son: Braulio Rodriguez, III, of Oxnard CA, grandson: Elijah Rodriguez, his father: Braulio Rodriquez, Sr. of Ballinger, TX, sister: Angela (Larry) Cole, of Carlsbad, NM, Annette (Michael) Samaniego, of The Colony, TX,  Eno Rodriguez, also of Carlsbad, NM and Oasis Rodriquez, of Balch Springs, TX, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Braulio was loved by many because of his good nature and will be missed by the residents of Vaughn.

A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn, NM, with Isaac Cole, Brian Navarrette, Erik Samaniego, Eno Rodriguez, Nathan Rodriguez and Marty O’Shea serving as Pallbearers.
