Benny A. Baca

Benny A. Baca, 68 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away at Vida Encantada Assisted Living in Las Vegas, NM on July 20, 2021. Benny was born on November 24, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Virginio and Conrada (Romero) Baca. Benny made his home in Santa Rosa where he was employed as a mechanic, working throughout the years for Joe Diesel, Big Rig Diesel and Route 66 Auto. Benny was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and was a man who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Benny’s hobbies included hunting and fishing and racing automobiles. Benny owned a 1965 Plymouth Valiant and enjoyed racing this car in Ft. Sumner, NM and in Roswell, NM. Benny is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Ruth Baca and Mary Jean Pendleton and brothers; Louie Baca and Ray Isidro Baca. Benny is survived by his brothers; Virginio Baca, Jr. of Santa Rosa and Floyd Baca of Amarillo, TX, sisters; Virginia (Jonathan) Romero of Santa Rosa and Maria Paniagua of Albuquerque, NM, nephews; Nathan (Kristin) Romero and Santiago Romero of Santa Rosa and great-nieces; Kaidyn Chavez, Mikele Romero and Nayla Romero—all of Santa Rosa, as well as many relatives and friends.
