Armando Campos

Armando Campos, Sr., 66 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 3, 2024.

Born April 6,1958 in Pastura, NM to Pedro and Annie Campos, Armando was raised in Santa Rosa, NM and attended Santa Rosa Hight School. 

Armando worked as a jailer with Guadalupe County Sherriff’s office for 16 years, as security for G-2, and retired as a custodian with Santa Rosa Consolidated Schools. 

Armando loved spending time with family and his grandchildren, working at the ranch tending his cattle, fishing, and was a collector of antiquities and rocks. 

Armando is preceded in death by his parents; Pedro and Annie Campos as well as his brother Mayo Campos. 

He leaves behind his beautiful wife Nancy Campos, his five children Armando S. Campos (Josefina Campos), Amanda Maestas (Nathan Maestas), Alonzo, Aaron, and Abraham Campos; his grandchildren Nathan, Jr, Nova, Nash Maestas, and Camilo Campos, siblings: Mary Romero (+ Sam Romero), Leroy Campos (Annie Campos), Carlos Campos, Jerry Campos (Connie Campos), Arnold Campos, Adela Mata, Angie Barba, Emily Foust (Leonard Foust), Diana Campos, Vivian Lopez (John Lopez), sister-in-law; Virginia Campos, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 7pm at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa NM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Father Sotero Sena officiating the service.

Burial will follow at the St. Helen’s Cemetery in Pastura, NM with Armando S. Campos, Alonzo Campos, Aaron Campos, Abraham Campos, Nathan Maestas, Adam Martin, Tim Barba, and Michael Mata serving as Pallbearers.
