Annie Paiz

Annie was born on July 29, 1936, in Tucumcari, NM to Alex Quintana and Annie S. Quintana.  Annie was raised in Tucumcari, where she also attended school.  On January 10, 1953, Annie was married to Joe Mariano Paiz in Chino, California.

A life-long Catholic, Annie was a parishioner at St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was also a member of Las Carmelitas.  Annie’s work career included hospital housekeeping and the Service Desk Manager for K-Mart.  In her spare time Annie enjoyed crocheting and baking cakes for for numerous events, small and large.  Annie was a devout Roman Catholic who prayed daily and was known for handing out scapulars to people.  She touched so many lives with her blessings.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mariano, Mary Lou Horlacher, Lorenzo Quintana, and Benny Quintana. 

Annie is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Paiz Andrada of Amarillo, TX, her grandchildren: Adam (Monica) Andrada of Amarillo, Jacob Andrada and Andrea Rodriguez of Tucumcari, Ana-Marie (Eric) Sandoval and Jared (Jenn) Andrada, all of Amarillo and her siblings: Alex (Ofelia) Quintana of California, Tony (Maxine) Quintana of Arizona, Mary Aceves of Lubbock, TX and Gloria Cortez of Albuquerque, NM, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 6-7PM and Friday, from 10:30-11:00AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM.  Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 7PM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, with Father JohnPaul Afuecheta officiating the service.

Interment will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park with Adam Andrada, Jacob Andrada, Jared Andrada, Eric Sandoval, Johnny Andrada and Pat Montano serving as Pallbearers.
