‘Alby’ Albert Leroy Ulibarri, 40 of Vaughn, NM, passed away unexpectedly on March 6th, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Albert was born on September 11, 1981 in Ft. Summer, NM to the home of Pete and Sandra (Romero) Ulibarri. Albert was raised in Vaughn, NM, where he attended and graduated from Vaughn High School. He then went on to continue his education in Las Vegas, NM where he attended LVTI and studied The Culinary Arts. Albert met his love as he called her; Nicole Lopez in Las Vegas, NM while they were both attending school at LVTI. They moved to Vaughn to start their family, together they have two sons. Albert was a jack of all trades. His dad taught him carpentry as well as plumbing. Albert enjoyed the great outdoors and made his pocket money cutting wood. He loved his music and was an avid reader. His favorite pastime was spending time with his boys teaching them how to fish, hunt and camp. Albert loved to barbecue, it was his specialty and it was absolutely delicious! Albert was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Sandra (Romero) Ulibarri and brother-in-law Andres Nieto. Albert is survived by his significant other Nicole Lopez, their children Damian and Dante Ulibarri and son Nicholas Madrid all of Vaughn, his brother Peter, wife Doreen and nephews Matthew and Gabriel Ulibarri of Rio Rancho and sister Tara R. Nieto of Vaughn. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday, March 18, 2022 at 9:30am at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, officiated by Father Timothy Meurer.
