Cleotilde A. Romero, 89 a longtime Santa Rosa and Fort Sumner, NM resident died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Guadalupe County Hospital. Cleotilde was born April 13, 1918 in Puerto De Luna to the home of Trinidad and Rufina (Ariaz) Armijo. Cleotilde was a longtime cattle and sheep rancher at Borica, NM. She later owned and operated ranches at Milagro and La Mesa. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner.She made he home in Fort Sumner from 1983 until 2004. Cleotilde was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands Paublin Romero in 1953 and Santiago Bonney in 1980; two infant children Joseph and Arcelia Romero; three daughters Lydia Jo Encinias in 1998, Dora Garnand in 2005 and Bennie Tapia; three sons Isidro Romero, Paublin Romero 2005, and Trinidad Romero 2006, 2 sisters; Josefina Romero and Amelia Madrid Survivors include three daughters, Rita Muniz and husband Leo of Milagro, NM; Soledad “Sally” Saiz and husband Henry of Fort Sumner; Joel Johnson and husband Bill of Santa Rosa; four sons Pete Romero of Milagro, NM; Greg Romero of Santa Rosa; Wilfred Romero and wife Rhonda of Hereford, TX; Leroy Bonney and wife Darlene of Santa Rosa; three brothers Juan Romero of Clovis; Tomas Romero of Los Angeles, California; Adan Armijo of Blanco, NM; one sister Lucia Romero of Clovis. Also surviving are 33 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, October 26. 2007 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 27, 2007 from St. Rose of Lima with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at La Virgin Delorosa Cemetery in Milagro, NM. Pallbearers will be; Billy Jack Padilla, Tim Romero, Bill Johnson, Leo Muniz, Jr., Michael Saiz, Jerry Esquibel, Rubert Romero, Roy Lee Bonney and Charles Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tito Romero, Onesimo Tapia, Leo Muniz, Sr., Henry Saiz, Roger Encinias and Juan Romero. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
