Rosalia U. Romero, age 86, passed away October 2, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness. Rosalia was born December 14, 1920 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Teodoro and Beatrice Martinez Ulibarri. She worked as a waitress and bartender for many years. Rosalia was a member of St Rose of Lima Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donato Romero, brothers; Daniel Ulibarri and Placido Ulibarri and her sister Francisca Baca. Survivors include her daughter; Ramona Aguirre and husband Manuel of Albuquerque, brother; Ted Ulibarri of Raton along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. As per Rosalia’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, at 2:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemtery. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
