Jason Pacheco

Albert R. Jason Pacheco, age 31, passed away February 1, 2007 in Tucumcari. Jason was born August 28, 1975 in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Albert and Christina Borquez Pacheco. He was reared and attended schools in Tucumcari where he excelled in all sports. He graduated from Tucumari High School in 1994. Jason loved the outdoors and all that goes with it. He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, he loved all sports, cage fighting and riding his Big Dog Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He worked with his father in the family business of Pacheco Construction from using a shovel to working with Heavy Equipment. Jason married Melisa Mercado on January 26, 2002 in Tucumcari. Jason was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson and friend and he will be truly be missed by all. Jason is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather Victor Pacheco. Survivors include his wife Melisa of the family home, his daughter; Shianne of Colorado Springs, CO, his son; A.J. of Tucumcari, parents; Albert and Christina Pacheco, sister; Shirley Pacheco, brother; Josh Pacheco and wife Veronica, nephew; Dezman Pacheco all of Tucumcari. Also surviving are his Maternal Grandparents; Raymond and Lena Borquez, Paternal Grandmother; Filomena Pacheco all of Tucumcari, Father in law; Saul Mercado, sister in law; Michele Mercado both of Riverside, CA, as well as numerous aunts; uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, February 5, at 7:00 from St. Anne's Church in Tucumcari. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 6, at 10:00 AM also from St. Anne's Church with Father Leo Padget officiating. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be Pete Borquez, Rodney Borquez, Jonathan Pacheco, Ruben Diaz, Andrew Pacheco and Jake Jimenez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffery Pacheco, Matthew Callahan, Ralph Arias, Jr., Matthew Montoya, Edger Shipley and Mike Rivera.
